Ron and Colleen McMillan welcome you to McMillan Farms, home of the McMillan Pumpkin Patch and McMillan Corn Maze! Located only 10 minutes from Kelowna's Orchard Park Mall, we offer all sorts of great summer, fall and winter farm activities for the whole family.
In 1950, Grandparents Ross and Jean McMillan purchased the farm from the Wirche family. The farm was already operating a small dairy and contained some of Kelowna's earliest European settlement history. After years of hard work with son Jim, they built up one of the largest dairy operations in the Kelowna area, producing milk for the Kelowna Creamery and eventually North Okanagan Creamery Association (NOCA). Ross and Jean retired from the dairy business in the early 1970's, but Ross and Jim continued the operation as a hay farm.
In 2004, Grandson Ron, his wife Colleen and their 4 children all started the McMillan Pumpkin Patch with only a 100 pumpkins to sell to neighbours. Since then, they have continuously expanded the business which now produces several thousand pumpkins and gourds each year, from almost 24 different varieties. In 2008, the family replanted a portion of the farms 18 acre hayfield with corn, to create one of Kelowna's best corn maze's. In 2008, they also added the sale of Christmas Trees as one of the farms many offerings.
McMillan Farms continues to improve the farm experience every year for Kelowna and Okanagan families, with some exciting additions waiting for you in 2009. Whether it's getting lost in our 10' - 12' tall corn maze, purchasing some beautiful multi-coloured corn and gourds for Thanksgiving, the big pumpkin for your Halloween spookatacular or that perfect Christmas tree, we have it all for you! So come on out with your friends and family and create some special family memories with us on our beautiful farm.
